Good morning Lollipops

I was thinking about this layout and how it didn’t go the way that I thought that it was going to and it got me wondering – are you a scrapbooker that plans your layouts out before you start, or do you just go with the flow?  I am a go with the flow scrapper, I never know what is going to happen with a layout or where it is going to go – but this layout definitely went in a very different direction to the one that I thought that it would.

I adore these papers from Katie Moody and thought that they would match this picture of Loki in the woods perfectly. I used my die cutting machine to cut out lots and lots of leaves and some trees and just scattered them on the page.  No gesso, no mixed media! Practically unheard of for me!

Once these leaves were all stuck down I backed my picture with some of the other papers in the kit and then used pop dots to create some dimension and then used the enjoy title and some of the alphabet stickers to create my title. I also edged some of the leaves in ink, just to add a bit of definition.

I finished off adding a few splatters – I couldn’t resist. But compared to my usual messy layouts this one is positively clean and simple and I actually love it!
