Super Cute Planner Clips with Lorraine

.

Hello there, I am having great fun guest designing with the fabulous January Lollipop Box kit Hello Friend, today I am sharing three super cute planner style clips. I have been wanting to have a go at making these types of clips for a while now and once I saw the cute stamp and sweet stickers this was the perfect excuse.

Postage stamp clip

Creating the postage stamp clip was fun, I simply stamped using a turquoise ink pad on white cardstock and carefully cut the centre from the image. I used a small rectangle of grid paper and blue paper bag to create the base. The centre part is raised on red funky foam and finished off with two heart stickers in the centre. I added a knotted piece of pink thread behind the stamp frame and a rose gold paperclip attached to the back.

Airmail clip

The mini airmail cut part made a great base to build upon. I used four stickers all mounted  onto white cardstock to give them extra strength and make it easier to add 3D foam to the back for dimension. The typewriter is adorable, I thought about tiny journalling on the paper coming out the typewriter but couldn’t quite make my writing small enough. I added a pink heart sticker to embellish the typewriter paper and attached a rose gold paperclip to the back.

Heart clip

This set wouldn’t have been complete without a heart clip featuring one of the cute bird die cuts. I used a strip of the turquoise paper bag to make a ruffle for the edge of the large red heart sticker, after attaching this I added a further ruffle made from the beautiful flocked heart netting. I kept the embellishing on the front of this clip simple and added a bird raised on 3D foam and the word strip ‘I heart you’ cut into three pieces. As with the other two clips I attached a rose gold paperclip to the back.

I plan to add one of these to my new planner and may use the other two on valentines gift bags…. well if I can bear to part with them that is!

Do you love to make your own planner clips? I would love to see how you go about creating yours so please do share.
