Happy July all! Summer is well and truly underway. I wanted to create something to harbour my summer stay-cation photos and memories, but I only went away for three days, so couldn’t warrant a full altered book journal.

I decided to make a ‘flip flop’ envelope journal from envelopes. I believe Sheryll made one of these and did a blog post a few months ago, but if you’re a step by step person like me, I followed a YouTube tutorial and found it strangely therapeutic – making a journal for memories out of recyclable materials!

It was really easy and fun to make! I sewed in one signature of roughly 8 pieces of paper to create the right amount of pages for me to have enough space to journal freely!

I had plenty of photo space and journalling spots, both hidden and visual! I added a paper bag to the back, to hide journalling and/or ephemera.

Let me know how you document your special stay-cations or holiday plans? Do you create your own journal or document them in a different way to your normal journalling?

Take care,

Lauren
