Summer Journal
Hello lollipop friends,
I hope you are all doing well.
I am excited to show you my first project using the “Treehouse Adventures” kit.
As soon as I saw the gorgeous paper with the lemons I knew I wanted to use it as a cover for a summer journal.
I simply scored the paper to create a quarter inch spine and attached my pages using embroidery floss.
I stitched it ending up with the knot on the outside of the spine and made use of it for a little dangle. I used letter beads to spell the word “summer” and a cute flower charm.
I used the “adventure” stencil and Distress Oxide to create the focal point on my front cover. I embellished it with bits from cut apart card, die cuts and some enamel dots from my stash.
I also created my first page, documenting the last day of school. I can not believe how fast this school year has passed!
I used the papers from the kit for my background and also the banner pieces. I die cut some flowers from the watercolour paper too and created my main embellishments for the page.
I finished it off with some word stickers.
I hope you found some inspiration today.
Until next time…
Nadine xx
