When this blog post is published , we are officially in spring !

I love spring !  The feeling of warmer and sunny days just gives me such joy.

The prospect of seeing colourful flowers everywhere just cheers me up.

This months kit March One Off Kit – Spring Stories is so pretty and screams of Spring.

I am sharing a little project for my journal – a lovely mini file folder for hidden journaling , or just simply keeping those mini photos in jour journal.

The file folders would go nicely in journal pockets.

I created the mini file folders by cutting the plain green paper from the kit into 6 x 5 inch size. Then score the paper at 2.5 inches.

You will notice that one side is longer than the other.

I also cut the floral papers slightly smaller than the green paper so that they fit in the middle of the green paper .

To create the tab on the longer side of the folder , I used the tab stickers and used this as a guide.

If you have an envelope punch you can also use this to create the tab.

I used the cut apart washi sheet to cover the bottom of the stab and created a pretty border.

To decorate the outside of the file folder , I used the gold heart circular stickers and words from the washi sheet.

I then used  words that could represent the title / topic for journaling.

At this point, I felt that I needed to add more embellishments as it was looking a bit plain.

So, I created a cluster from the dried flowers and trim and stapled it on to the tab.

As for the inside, I stuck the note papers included in the kit.

The mini file folders turned out cute! ( if I do say so myself…)

I cannot wait to use these file folders in my journal.

I’ll make sure to share this with you next time.

I hope this has inspired you to create your own mini file folders too.

Please do share it in the group.

Till next time my friends !

Lots of crafty hugs, Sheryll
