Splish Splash…April Scrapbooking with Claire

Using the April Kit here. 

This months kit is all about rain, and being from Scotland, we get plenty of that. The boys love to splash about in the puddles. The muddier the better!

I’m currently using an 8×8 scrapbook as a journal, and I’m loving the size. It also gives me the flexibility to either create a page with tons of journalling, or make it more like a scrapbook page, and just add a few lines.

I started off by cutting the rain drop paper into strips and sticking them down individually. Next I cut out the clouds from the paper in the kit. Can we all just take a moment to appreciate the pink clouds! Absolutely love them!

I chose a rainy picture of my youngest son enjoying splashing in the puddles, and adhered that to the pink paper to create a border, and embellished it using the stickers.

I cut out some of the umbrella paper to use as a background, then cut out a section from the Busy Day notepaper to add a small journaling section. Again, I used the embellishments and stickers from the kit to decorate it.

I love how it turned out. The colours make me so happy.
