I feel so lucky to have found Andie since starting up Lollipop Box Club.
I’m so so excited to be collaborating with her this month. Her needlework is amazing. Have you seen the gorgeous pen toppers that she’s made for the ‘Wings ‘n’ Things’ kits this month? Beautifully made both sides. Andie has also made cute cupcake pen toppers for the birthday boxes here and we are in talks about having other items made for upcoming kits. Exciting stuff!!!
Let’s get to know Andie a little better. I’ve asked her to tell us a little about herself. Here’s what she says:
”I’ve always enjoyed making things and have tried lots of different crafts over the years, knitting, jewellery making, card making, sewing. My favourite is sewing and that’s mainly what I do now, although I still knit occasionally and dabble in other things too. I love fabric, buttons and ribbons and I’m a bit of hoarder and shopaholic where they are concerned and probably have far more than is good for anyone, which is how I started Andies Accessories. I realised I would never be able to keep all the things I made for myself so I started making things to sell, which is great as not only does it enable me to make lots more than I could if it was just for me, I also get to make things in fabrics and styles I probably wouldn’t have made for myself, plus I get to shop for more supplies yay!
Andies Accessories is mainly just me, although I do have help from my hubby who does a lot of running around for me, picking up supplies, doing post office trips and accompanying me to craft fairs. I often joke that I’m the ‘Andie’ part and he’s my best ‘accessory’. He’s not for sale though so don’t go looking for a price tag on him if you see us at a craft fair.
Besides craft fairs I sell via facebook, etsy and my website which clever hubby made for me (told you he was the best didn’t I). I make lots of decorative accessories for around the home such as bunting, cushions and hanging decorations along with personal accessories like keyrings, badges and tissue covers. I also make a little stationery too, mainly covered notebooks and pencil toppers, plus I started making wedding items this year, ring pillows and hearts to give as gifts to bridesmaids etc.
I always have lots of ready made items available but I’m more than happy to make things to order too. It doesn’t have to be something I’ve made before, I’m happy to try something new, like the butterflies I made for Lisa for the kit. I enjoy working with other people on their ideas as it gives me an opportunity to make things I may never have thought of myself ”.
Thank you so much Andie.
Please visit Andie’s facebook page here to see some of her gorgeous work. She’s so lovely to work with. I’m so happy to have found her.
And if you love the pen topper as much as I do. Take a look here to see what else is in this month’s kit. They are being shipped very very soon.
What a lovely blog post! I too love Andie and am the proud owner of lots of her creations. Her attention to detail is superb and nothing is ever too much trouble. With personalised items she always consults with me every step of the way to make sure I am completely happy with my order. Congratulations on your collaboration both of you, sounds like fun times are ahead!
