New Online Class – Altered Book & Intro to Junk Journaling

Hello!! I know you’ve been patiently waiting, but here are the details for the first online class of the year.
We are altering an old book and turning it into a fun journal, along with a little intro to junk journaling.
You don’t have to use it as a junk journal though, feel free to use it as a creative journal or art journal or however you choose.
It’s going to be fun and we are going to be using up our old scraps!! So there’s NO COST for any materials.

Here’s all the details you need to know:

Where?:
I’ve decided to host this class on my patreon platform as an experiment. So far they’ve always been on Facebook and I’ve charged a fee to sign up. It’s not always easy though and not everyone likes Facebook. Plus you have to be in Facebook to view the videos.
Patreon will be different. You pay a monthly rate to join. You will receive the video link and any other details about the class in an email sent to you via Patreon. So it will be in your email inbox.
PLUS…this is a big plus…by signing up you will have access to everything else that has been shared on Patreon so far. Monthly downloads, exclusive videos, a ‘how to’ tutorial library and lots more and you have access to our patreon chat group too and we will also be holding zoom calls where we can chat and create at the same time.

Cost?:
If you are a member of my Patreon group already in the Teal or the Red Tier then it’s FREE FOR YOU.

For everyone else it’s just £5.50 (plus local tax).

Please note that the payment gets taken when you sign up and from then on, on the 1st of each month.
If you just want to receive the class (plus everything else that patreon has to offer) you may want to cancel before the 1st Feb.
If you want to be part of the group for the remainder of January and the whole of February, it will be £5.50 x 2 (plus local tax). The £5.50 per month will continue until you wish to cancel.

How Do I Sign Up?:

When?:
Please sign up ASAP. We are getting ready and chatting now. Plus the sooner you sign up the sooner you will have access to the extra downloads and videos.
The class video will be sent out on Monday 25th January, but you can watch the video and create your journal in your own time.
There is no time limit. Everyone will be working at their own pace. There’s no rush.
We will be holding a class Zoom call on Thursday 28th January where you can ask questions and show if you’ve started your’s.
This will be an ongoing project, not something that you will need to finish. I will be creating in mine over the next year.

What Do I Need?:
The idea with this class is that we are using up our old stash. So dig deep and bring out old papers, stickers, die cuts etc…
You will need an old book to alter. I am using an old Lady Bird book.

It’s a good size, a lovely matt cover, matt pages and not too many pages inside either.
I would avoid glossy covers and pages.
I do have a couple of examples to share in the class video of previous books that I’ve altered if you do have a larger book with many pages.

You will also need the usual…scissors, adhesive, pens and anything else you want to use to decorate.

This will be so much fun and it will be so fun seeing how everyone else’s journals come together as we’ll all be using different books and finding different scraps and old supplies to use. It will be great seeing what you all find : )
