Mini Album “A Lovely Day”
Hello Lollipop friends,
Today I am sharing my first project using the “Hopes and Dreams” kit.
As soon as I saw the kit I knew I would use it to create a gift for a good friend.
I planned on creating a mini book to document a day we had together with our children. We visited a park with an awesome playground and a big pond. We enjoyed watching our kids play and feed ducks. We also went to the butterfly house and museum nearby. It was definitely a day worth documenting! I took so many photos that day and the colours match the kit perfectly.
I started by creating my cover using one of the patterned papers from the kit and some light blue cardstock from my stash.
I decided to use different colours of embroidery floss and some beads to attach my pages to the spine. I love using beads on the outside spine, it’s so much fun!
I decorated my cover using the super cute blue tags from the kit. I embossed one of them for some extra texture.
I used the speech bubble from the monthly download to stamp my title on. And finally I used some enamel dots from my stash to further embellish my cover.
I had decided to use white cardstock for my pages. I cut loads of different sized strips from the papers and used those to layer underneath my photos.
I embellished my pages using the stickers and die cuts from the kit.
On the inside of my back cover I created a pocket the holds a card with additional photos.
I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post today and I was able to offer some inspiration on how you can use your kit!
