I’m so excited to be collaborating with Laura Lee this month.

Laura is incredibly talented and her designs are just so much fun. I am so in love with the cupcake badges that Laura has made for our September Kits.

Don’t you just love them?!!

Pop them on your cardi, on your bag, to your planner or even add them to a project. They are so fun, they will brighten up anything.

I asked Laura to tell us about herself and her lovely business. Here’s what she said:

Laura Lee Designs was Established in 2001 by Cornwall based artist Laura Lee.

In her little studio over looking the beautiful Cornish countryside, Laura produces a range of Quirky, fun and functional gifts. Her design subjects include Animals, Beach Huts, Flowers and other colourful inspirations.

Painted on to high quality English Bone China her distinctive designs have proved to be popular with both her customers and the press.

Now an internationally selling Artist, Laura has worked with companies such as William Hill, AAH pharmaceuticals, The Red Cross, The Cornish Language school and Whiskas, developing exclusive ranges and promotional pieces.

She has a real passion for vibrant colours, dressing up and anything else that’s fun! Her mother owned a haberdashery shop in Wimborne Minster. Endless crafting supplies and long Summer Holidays meant that creativity and retail was a way of life in her Family.

Always encouraged to enter village shows and competitions the idea of displaying her Art was very natural.

Growing up in the Dorset countryside Laura had planned on becoming a vet or go into Marine Biology, but her passion for creativity took over and after the Birth of her Daughter she felt it was a good time to work from home and her Art suited this idea perfectly.

Laura has 3 children and a husband who are all of constant inspiration!

Due to growing popularity and not enough hours in the day! Laura has added printed goods to her range which are proving to be just as popular as the hand painted pieces.
