Make a mini album with me
Hello lollipop friends,
I hope everyone had a lovely Easter and is enjoying the slightly warmer weather.
I am super excited to show you my second project using the “Hooray for spring” kit.
During busy phases in my life I often don’t find much time for crafting but I still want to document all the memories. I find mini albums perfect for this. Smaller projects that can be created in less time and still make a beautiful keepsake with all the memories in one place.
I’m not a big writer if I’m honest, I am quite a visual person, so photos tend to be enough for me to remember all the special days and moments.
This cute mini album was created using one sheet of thin Kraft paper. I used a technique that Dina Wakley often demonstrates in her classes.
You fold the paper to create 8 boxes and make one cut in the middle (dashed line), then fold into a booklet.
I used the papers from the kit to cover my pages, leaving a thin border all around.
I wasn’t sure how bulky my album would end up and I wanted to create a closure that’s secure. I cut a strip of the beautiful fabric and used it like a ribbon, attaching it to the back so it can easily wrap around the album.
I kept my cover very simple as the fabric bow covers most of it and then used stickers from the kit for my title.
I used my DIY embellishments from my first project to decorate around my photos. I also chose stickers, die cuts and other bits to embellish further.
I also created two tags to go in my pockets (you can choose to either stick the folds together and leave one side open to create pockets).
I hope this packed full mini album provides plenty of inspiration.
Until next time…
Nadine xx
I love this one sheet technique. Nice little mini album.
