Live life in Full Bloom – with Guest Designer Jackie Ashton

Hi, this month I have asked Jackie Ashton to guest design for us. Jackie is an amazing scrapbooker. She’s kindly used the June ‘Time to Bloom’ kit which you can buy here. There’s just a few left now.

Here’s Jackie’s project….

 Jackie…. ”Using a selection of the papers in the kit, I matted my photograph and distressed the edges of each paper to give it some added texture. I added some distress oxide ink the my cardstock and stamped the flower directly on to the cardstock.

I wanted to use the washi tape from this kit, so I added it over some cardstock and punched out heart shapes to add to my layout.  I also added a die-cut shape cut from the patterned paper to the side of my photograph.

I used the cut-apart sheet for my title, but removed the red border and backed it onto the pink paper from this kit.

I added some extra detail to the bottom of my layout, using some washi tape and machine stitching”.

Thank you so much to Jackie. It’s such a beautiful LO. I love how she used the ‘Time to Bloom’ from the embellishment postcard for her title.

I hope you love this too and that it sparks some new ideas.

I love the idea of using washi on cardstock to then use punches. Such a great idea!!
