Little Robin Journal Page – by Sarah

I am really excited to be sharing my first project for the Lollipop Box Club creative team today! I have chosen to add my first pages to my 28 days of Love journal as the Hello Beautiful kit was just perfect for it.

I love to use mixed media so I started by adding some distress oxide inks to my background to add some more hints of orange and yellow to the pages. The main focus of the spread is the sweet robin I spotted on my morning school run and food shop.  To help the robin pop on such a bright page I added hints of orange to help bring out the colour in the photo.

I created a pocket for my journaling tag and the sweet handmade envelope from the kit. I added a quick note about the album to tuck inside the envelope using a scrap of gelli printed paper with a fussy cut book image to embellish.

A few stickers, some ephemera and a watercolour leaf finished off the page nicely bringing all the colours together across both pages.
