Let’s do this – Let’s Escape Kit with Guest Designer – Julie Taylor

Hi Lollipop friends, I was thrilled when Lisa asked if I’d like to guest design for Lollipop box & of course I said yes!!!

The kit I’m creating with Let’s Escape is all about escaping & doing stuff you enjoy & has gorgeous bright colours!!!

I decided to do a 9×12 layout, I do like mixing sizes, in my albums & really like this size. I started by adding an embossed circle, on the right of the page & using the stencil, out the kit, I inked lots of arrows going towards the circle. I also fussy cut some arrows, out the patterned papers, & added those to the mix, along with lots of ink splatters.

On top of the circle I cut a few strips, out the papers, distressed the edges & sewed them into place along with some fussy cut film strips & the bright blue pom poms.

The photo is matted by the actual cinema ticket!! I love adding real ephemera on a page as it adds a fab eclectic look. The popcorn embellishment was just perfect & looks like he’s holding it!!

I added the large green arrow & layered the weekend cut apart piece over the top & the ‘let’s do this’ off one of the papers.

I needed to add a small amount of journalling & a die cut piece & circle sticker proved just the right amount of space & I included the date & time from the cinema ticket.

I’ve loved creating with this kit & will be back soon with another layout.
