Hi everyone,

My blog post this week is showing how you can use kit leftovers to make a beautifully simple page.

I keep a box of scraps and leftovers on my desk so I can rummage through and find things I want to either use up or pull out to go with the colours I am working with.

For the March kit, I loved the mint great colourway, and luckily I had a lot of smaller pieces to use up that went really well here!

I also love adding vintage vibes to my page, and keep a box (or two) of vintage ephemera pieces. I had some coffee dyed paper to hand too and some vintage washi tape to tie-in the vintage feel.

This spread is documenting setting up Jack’s ‘man cave’ in the spare room, and as you can see Milo is pleased too! Milo tends to spend a lot of time in here when Jack is working on something, its so nice to see them both hanging out.

In the evenings we tend to do things together when we’re both off work, and this week we set up an old PS2 with Buzz – a quiz game that was REALLY popular when we were at school. We had a lot of fun playing this, even if I did lose the general knowledge round but SMASHED the music quiz. Would have been embarrassed if i hadn’t considering I’ve got a music degree – ha!

Here is the completed double-spread layout, the journal card hides some photos. I have since added my journalling in the spots on the right side of the layout.

Let me know what you’re up to and how you store your ‘junk’ and ephemera!
