I’ll be honest , it has been a challenge journaling a cold sunny winter day that I was out on a walk with Hubby and our Poppy.
I want to journal that day because, all the hoomans are having a lovely time walking around the park and chatting and our doggo are also having fun running around the park and playing tug.
It was a glorious day considering how cold it was.
When I opened the Joy to the World kit , I just know it would be perfect. I also took inspiration from the journal prompts that was provided in the zine – documenting something outdoorsy.
As you know I love the zine that comes with the kit. It is just filled with lots of inspiration.
I had a page in my giant journal where I have stuck a mini folio of pockets that was sent to me on a happy mail. I have been thinking of when I can use the page. Well , the day came finally! You just don’t know how long the photographs had been on that very page !
Firstly , I used one of the decorative papers to cover the blank white page next to the pockets. I then tore a piece of the grid paper , inked the torn edges and pasted it on top. This will used for my journaling later on. I also glued a cluster at the top. I used bits from the washi strip sheet and fussy cut the little houses and glued them in a cluster.
After cutting the photographs apart , I glued them on to the pockets, and used the pockets to keep the journaling for each photograph. I created little journal cards from the kit.
As for the post card , I have trimmed it so that it fits on the front pocket. This will used for potential hidden journaling later on.
Each pocket has a photograph outside , and inserted in the pockets is the journaling / info about the photograph.
Then , on the main page, I journaled about the day.
As per usual , I have used some of the stickers, cut apart card and washi tape sheet to decorate my journal layout.
I have also used the thin washi tape included to decorate the edges/ corners of my photograph to finish my journal page.
I just love all the colours on this page, it truly reflects the joy we had for this day.
Until next time my lovely friends ! Remember , you can always take inspiration from the kits , whether it’s the theme , the journal prompts or colours.
Lots of crafty hugs ,
She’ll
