How to use your Tulle? Scrapbooking with Philippa
.
Hello Lollipop Lovers!
I’m loving Guest Designing for Lisa this month using the ‘Hello Friend’ Kit!
Whilst I enjoy all sorts of different crafts, scrapbooking has been my first love for a long time and as old habits die hard for my second project with the Hello Friends kit I’m sharing a 12×12 layout!
I just had to use some of the gorgeous heart patterned tulle!
The first thing I did was cut a long strip from the blue paper bag to use as a base for stitching a length of tulle to create a ruched trim.
I used my sewing machine but you could just as easily do running stitch by hand.
Added to one side of the page with a couple of strips of the pink tissue it makes a lovely textural border.
My photo is printed in black and white which I often do if the colours aren’t a good match for the colour scheme of my layout! It’s matted on a piece of paper bag (which I’ve left open to hold a letter), layers of tissue and a piece of the pink envelope printed sheet.
I love the postage stamp style cut apart sheet and chose to cut the centres from the frames and them embellish them with the little birds, envelopes and hearts.
In addition to kit contents I’ve added some threads, sequins, a blue paperclip, red tissue, some fine red ribbon and the red ‘love’ perspextive from Bramble Fox from my stash.
I couldn’t resist a few paint splatters here and there and I added a fine, blue border on three sides. I’m pleased with how it turned out and hope you like it!
