Hi Lollipop Lovers!
Who doesn’t love receiving a hand made card in the post? This months Hello Friend kit focusing on friendship and happy mail inspired me to make some cards for special friends.

I started by painting each white card blank with a block of watercolour in various shades to compliment the papers and ephemera in the kit. I then created mini collages using snippets of the packaging tissue, paper bags and papers, each card unique and different in design.

I had fun embellishing with stickers, ephemera pieces, sequins and threads from my stash.
It’s not easy to see in the photographs but the little birds are on fine florist wire (fuse wire would work just as well). It means the birds can be flat for posting but bent out when on display as though hovering in mid air, we’ll that’s the idea!

I loved making them and hopefully the recipients will be pleased to receive them!
