Forest friends card with a little faux stitching.
Today I am sharing my appliqué card, using the Forest Friends kit.
I started off by choosing the papers and embellishments that I wanted to use. The little frame is from one of the papers in the kit and I have just cut out the frame with the red.
I stamped the little bear onto watercolour paper, and used my prima watercolours to colour him in. I then but him out leaving a little white border around the image.
I have layered my papers onto the blank card using my favourite glue.
Next I have then attached my frame and the little trees to the front of the card, leaving these ones flat.
I wanted to add a little dimension to the card so I have added 3d foam to the bear and the sentiment. Making them pop from the card.
I wanted to give it the look of appliqué so using my micron pen I have drawn the stitches around each piece and the layers of paper. I one of these days I will get the sewing machine out and stitch them but for now I’m loving the faux stitching with my pen.
Do you make cards with your kits?? I’d love to see them!!
Thankyou for taking the time to read my blog and I hope you like my card as much as me.
