Hello lovely friends !  I hope you are all doing well.

Since the start of this year , I have been trying my hardest to organise my craft supplies.

I have gathered all my Lollipopbox kit bits and bobs – buttons , wooden die cuts , ribbons ,etc and have used a plastic container to store them.   However, this was not too organised for me.  Things are still jumbled up.

This is how my buttons look like before this project..

Recently Lisa has shared a faux vintage button card that she created and used in one of her journal pages.

This has given me the inspiration to create a faux vintage button card to store my lollipopbox club buttons .  I also recently bought a vintage button card from a charity shop that will serve as my inspiration for this project.

Here is the original vintage button card from the charity shop.

.

I can see that the fonts and design is in one colour. The card also measures 72mm x 122mm ( 2.8 inches x 4. 8 inches).

I chose old lollipop box kit papers / card stock.   The old kits used to have card stock thick paper.  I thought  they will be perfect for this project.

I cut them into 4 inches x 2.75 inches size cards,  this size would be just perfect I feel.

It’s now time to think about how I am going to create a similar design.

I found a planner /journalling stamp with a shaped box image, and I thought this would be prefect for the cards.

I used ink stamps that is in the same colour as the cards.

After stamping the box , I felt  that there was something missing .  A little detail perhaps at the top just like the original.

I wasn’t really confident on stamping the word “button” seamlessly , so I thought a nice decorative image at the top of the box would be good .

So , off I go again and raided my stamp stash.   It is really amazing what you find.

I found an old stamp set that is craft related and the bonus part is that it also had a button image too.

Just that stamped image at the top has made the button card look more vintage.

Oh, by the way, don’t forget to ink the sides of the cards with dark brown ( here I used vintage photo ink) to get that vintage effect.

I also stamped button image on the sides of the cards.

The only thing left to do is to sew the buttons on the card.

I used sewing thread and used my needle to poke the holes to stitch my buttons in.

I think these turned out so cute and I just love how they turned out!

Well, I am now off to get my button jar and start sorting my buttons out and creating more button cards.

They will be lovely as gifts as well.   What do you think?

Until next time my beautiful friends!

Lots of crafty hugs…

Sheryll
