Happy almost October everybody!
I LOVED the cosy vibe of this month’s kit, but I was stuck on what to make. I am slowly catching up with life and therefore journalling, and I’ll be honest, I’ve kinda fell out of love with journalling and documenting the everyday.
However, I still wanted to create a layout with this beautiful kit. The colours blend so well, even though they aren’t really colours I would use together normally.
I used the pumpkin lined paper for the background, before adding layers using the washi strip papers. I added a photo from the week I am journalling about, and then backed and decorated it to add some depth. I also added a fabric scrap tab to the page to add texture.
I added more of the lined paper on a page already sewn into my journal, before mirroring the same layout of the page opposite.
I added some ephemera – the ticket at the bottom right of the page is actually a tiny belly band/pocket for me to add some more little photos with journalling on the back. I wanted to give myself more space for hiding journalling if I needed it.
I am also a sucker for diecuts and chevrons to add interest to the page, again with a fabric tab top which in this case is lace/string.
I hope this simple layout gives you some inspiration to include September’s kit into your weekly journals or crafty projects.
Take care!
