It’s that time of year when we are all wrapping gifts and making things look pretty. I like to present my gifts whether it is a custom apron with picture or some other gifts in pretty packaging. Today I am showing you how I decorated this plain kraft paper bag using my December Kit.

I bought a pack of these plain bags online, but I do also keep this style of bag when I’m shopping. They are great to ‘tart up’. I also used some gesso as the base of the design.

The gesso gets roughly painted on the bag leaving a thick border of the kraft around the outside.

Whilst still wet, I’ve cut some of the stars from the tissue paper from the kit. As the gesso is still wet, they will adhere nicely to the bag. If it has dried, just use a teeny blob of regular PVA glue.

All the December Kits come with gold washi tape. I’ve used this on the bag too.

And then I stamped 3 reindeer on to the bag. The centre reindeer slightly higher as this is Rudolph.  I used a small blob of red glitter glue for his nose.

I printed off some wording on my pc and cut in to a strip.

Then added some clear glitter glue to the stars. Nothing like a bit of sparkle at Christmas.

The bag is now ready. I have a lovely planner to go in this one for my sweet friend.
