Today we are creating with coffee. Not just starting the week off with a mug of latte, but actually using coffee on a scrapbooking LO. Not only will your page look yummy, it will smell yummy too.

Start off by mixing a small amount of instant coffee in a saucer with a little warm/hot water so that the granules dissolve and pop to one side for now.

I’ve been receiving lots of lovely messages that your ‘Coffee & Cupcakes’ Kits are arriving. Thank you for all your messages. I’m so happy that you love this kit as much as I do. I want to share how I made this coffee LO with you today. I started off with some pieces from the kit and a piece of white 12×12 card stock. I have printed off 3 small photos.

To get more out of my doilees I’ve cut them in half.

I’ve taken the 3 kraft tags from the kit and stuck them near to the top of the LO. I only ever add the double sided sticky to the centre of the tags/ photos, so that I can be flexible and add bits as I scrap. I’ve been able to slide the half doilees underneath and thread the string through the holes in the tags. I like this rustic look.

It’s now time for your coffee. Place a cup in the coffee and leave for a few seconds. Lift off carefully (be careful not to to let it drip everywhere when you lift it off) and place it on your page where you would like to leave a circular mug print.

Leave it for a few seconds and then repeat it where you would like to have your mug prints.

Your mug rings will be wet for a while so take care not to smudge whilst you carry on working.

Take your cute cake stamp from the kit. I used an orange ink as it matched my photos and gave me a nice contrast with the white cardstock and the coffee colours.

I randomly stamped on my page.

The kraft tags from the kit have the word ‘LOVE’ which can be pushed out. I decided to use one of these for my title and stuck it in place.

I printed off my journaling on my pc and cut in to strips and stuck in place beneath the title.

As there was still some coffee in the plate I decided to take a paint brush and splatter the coffee on my LO.

And then I took a brown pen and added some lines under my journal strips and added rough borders to my photos to finish them off.
