Hey Guys
Today I have this super fun and easy mini book I made with some coloured card blanks I picked up in Hobbycraft for £1. I chose an orange and pink set and have used 3 blanks from each pack. While I loved the bright colours I wanted to break it up slighly so have used some acrylic paint in Autumnal colours to paint little sections of the pages. I’ve dedicated this mini book to journaling October. Not an October Daily but just a few pages to document theres Autumn firsts I thought. A walk, a new cousy jumper, pumpkins or the first apple pie of the year!
Once the painted pages were dry I’ve used some double sided tape and stuck the blanks back to back. Turning it into a book. I’ve used lots of bits and pieces from the kit to embellish each page. Making obvious pages for photos to be added orlittle spaces for some journaling. I find this makes it so easier when I eventually get around to documenting things. I don’t need to find a lot of time – print the photos, add a little sticker or die cut, journalling and then the page is finished. The memory has been recorded and it’s taken just a few minutes.
The houses are one of my fave Lollipop stamos ever, I think. They’re so sweet! I wanted to use them on each page and initially thought about stamping them inlines similar to a washi would be good but settled on heat embossing with them. I love how they turned out. They add extra texture to the pages along with the Autumn sparkle!
Love this Vicki my favourite autumn food is pumpkin soup. We only ever make it after carving out the pumpkins.
This looks so cute! Definitely apple and blackberry crumble at this time of year.
I love the colours and agree, those little house stamps are the best. Love it when summer’s gone and the casseroles come out, chunky veg and dumplings!
I love your mini book!! I can’t believe you’ve never embossed before!!!
My favourite autumnal food is chilli, or meat and potato pie (a northern dish!) with Parkin at bonfire, and a pumpkin spice latte or a red wine
Oh Vicki this is amazing!! I love all your projects and this is so pretty. My favourite Autumn food would be pumpkin muffins!! How lovely of you to do this too, thank you
You’re simply the most talented person.
You amazing me with every creation that you make !!!
This is so lovely! The best autumn food for me is my husband’s homemade pumpkin soup – made with our Halloween pumpkins! We visited a pumpkin patch on Saturday and I’m already drooling at the thought of what the pumpkins we brought home are going to become!
