Escape with Gust Designer Emma

Hey friends, Emma here again sharing my ‘Escape’ layout using the July kit. This time it was all about leaves, inspired by the absolutely beautiful watercolour leaves which I fussy cut from the cardstock sheets.

The greens & blues worked perfectly with a photo I had of my dad & daughter in the park & I used the leaves to frame my picture. I then created more leaves by drawing a template & fussy cutting just the outline of the leaf shape therefore giving just a suggestion of more leaves so the focus wouldn’t be taken away from the watercolour leaves.

Next I wanted to bring in more of the lime green to my layout, I did so by stamping a small, simple leaf design onto the tissue paper used to pack the kit. I also used the tissue paper to mount my photo.

I then used the flowers found in the kit to add a pop of pink & the washi strip from the sticker sheet which sat underneath my fussy cut title. To finish I added a sprinkling of sequins & black ink splatters, plus a Lisa trademark doodle border.
