Cards with Laura with video
For my second Hello Spring project I whipped up a quick card. The patterned papers that come in the kits are such a great weight and quality; simply scored and folded in half they make the perfect base for a handmade card. I chose the spotty paper as the pretty aqua colour is one of my Mum’s favourites. To get a crisp fold I popped a piece of foam underneath and scored down the middle with a bone folder. The squishiness of the foam allows you to create a nice deep groove which in turns gives a great fold.
I added a contrasting strip of the floral patterned paper at the base of the card and covered the seam with a line of sequins. My focal point is created with a pink frame, a gorgeous bunny sticker from the Mrs Brimbles sheet, and a speech bubble sticker from the Dovecraft sticker booklet. I went cutesy with the wording and wrote ‘some bunny loves you’ but you could switch up the wording to make the card suitable for any occasion.
I’ll be back soon with a project using the next kit Secret Garden… I can’t tell you much yet… it’s a secret! 😉
