Hey everyone, Niki Rowland (@nikiclairecreates on Instagram) back with you today, guest designing with the Hello Spring box.

I’ve really enjoyed making my layouts with this box which is packed full of subtle pretty spring colours.

I wanted to feature some of the patterned papers on my background, so I choose a sheet of white card as my base, then added some pieces of the white and mint green polka dot paper.

I have created two little photo pockets. I wanted my two photos to sit in little cute pockets so that I could write my journalling on the back and pull out the photos to view the journalling. I mounted my photos and then also stuck the pink patterned paper on the back of them. This gave me the perfect place to write my journalling becuase the pink patterned paper has lines on it. I made the pockets by cutting a piece of patterned paper a little bigger than the photo. I cut another piece, the same size, then trimmed it down, at an angle, to make the front part of the pocket. I then stitched the two pieces together on my sewing machine – so easy!

I used the photo pockets as the basis for both my clusters. I embellished around these and on the pockets themselves. I added thread twiddles and used ‘hello spring’ as my title. I added lots of the bunny stickers, which I think may be the cutest bunnies I have ever seen. I particularly love the onces wearing glasses!
