Find the ‘MerMazing’ in your Life
I’m here to boost your day a little today.
A friend of mine recently started on a new journey and is training to become a hypnotherapist. She wanted some guinea pigs so I put my hand up to volunteer. I have a family member that I really struggle with and it really gets me down. I really need that positivity boost at times. I dwell on things and things play on my mind. I realise that he’s not going to change, so it’s me that maybe needs to change my way of thinking instead.
Something that my friend has been doing with me is starting by asking ‘what’s good?’. She makes me list a whole string of things that have been good that week. And she makes me keep adding to that list. Sometimes it’s a struggle to keep thinking of things, but it’s surprising when you really dig deep you can keep thinking of lots of things. It doesn’t have to be huge things. Afterall, I’m a true believer that it’s the little things that count the most. (I’m 4ft10, so I have to believe that!!)
Here’s my recent list. See, nothing major… no lottery wins, no fancy days out…..just normal every day things….but it’s surprising when you sit back and look at a list like this how good it makes you feel.
Try it and see how it makes you feel. Just make a list of random things that have made you feel good. I hope this exercise give you a mini boost too.
