Hello everyone!

I am showing you my layout using the March ‘Spring Stories’ kit. I’m documenting my birthday meal, which Jack and I celebrated a few days early as we were both working on my actual birthday.

I love to use lots of layers and old book illustrations in my spreads as it adds that vintage feel to them, especially in the book i am using currently.

I started off by using the green cardstock in the paper pack, tore up the tissue paper and used some paper scraps from my scrap basket. I feel the more pieces you use to create a background, the better as it adds so many layers of interest and texture. I then tore up the ‘washi strip’ style paper, again adding more interest to the page. The decoration on this page comes largely from my stash of ephemera, as well as using some of the vintage pieces Lisa put in the kit.

I am a sucker for a pocket, so the glacene bag pocket went straight to the top of my right hand side page to give me more room for hidden journalling and photos. Add in some printable images from google, some word strip stickers and some die cuts from my stash – such a perfect vintage looking page. I am so happy with how this turned out and I also used up a lot of bits and pieces i had lying around in my desktop boxes!

Let me know what your favourite bit about this page is! I would also love to hear how you’re using your Spring Stories kit!
