Hello everyone and happy early Valentine’s Day!
I am popping on with a speedy and easy DIY Valentine’s Day card. This took me less than 10 minutes to make, using bits left over from my kit, as well as some additional, easy to get hold of supplies from my stash.
I started with a piece of pink cardstock, layered the papers from the kit to use as a background – I think the punched edge of the notepad paper really adds something to the base of the card. Next, I added a scrap piece of manuscript paper. Then I used pieces of the element postcard and die cuts to layer up, as well as the pink ticket tabs. Add some wording stickers and you’re done! It really is that easy, quick and simple to make.
If you know me, you will know that I love layering things, and I love manuscript (music paper) to tear up and use as a textured base. I think it works well here and breaks up the pastel colours, adding a different dimension to the card.
Does anyone else make cards from their kits? I remember my passion for crafting actually started when I was a child making cards – I used to take weekend trips to The Range with my grandparents for crafty supplies and would often spend all of my pocket money on embellishments, coloured card and envelopes to make birthday cards for family and friends.
Give it a go with this kit, it is really easy to make a card that looks so well thought out and put together. Let me know what you think!
