I just love making different types of journal.

I am obsessed with flip flop journals and they are created using recycled envelopes.

So , what better way to make use of those junk envelopes , but to create a journal!

Creating the journal base

I used 1 small envelope and 3 letter sized envelopes.

There are lots of tutorial on YouTube on how to put the envelopes together to make the base.

Once I have created my base , I am ready to decorate the pages.

Creating and Decorating the pages

To Create the front cover , I used the treat bag to create a pocket as well as a background .

I then created a cluster using the quote from the zine .

The post card  that was included in the kit  was attached to the other side of the small envelope.

This flips out and is  a good space for journaling.

I have  lined  the insides of the 2 envelopes with paper .

The journal prompts and sketch idea will be stored in the envelope pockets.

I have used the papers from the Rebel Crafter kit , as well; as some papers from old kits to cover the base of the journal.

To decorate the pages , I used my DIY washi tape and a punch to create a decorative boarder on the papers.

The Signatures

For the signatures , I have used some gelliprint papers that I created ages ago .

There are 4 sheets per signature and I bound them into the journal using a 3 hole pamphlet stitch.

I didn’t worry about whether the stitches were aligned with each other.

You just don’t know how liberating this feels !    I am just creating and not worrying about any rules.

Each signature is bound in between the flaps/ divets of the journal .

The finished journal

I love how this journal has turned out .  The pop of colour is just encouraging to create in the pages.   With the cut offs of paper , I created a hidden paperclip and did a cluster to decorate them using the cut apart card in the kit.

I also placed tags on the pockets thatI have created at the front and back of the journal.

This is such a joy to create and I cant wait to create in this journal.  I think I’ll use this journal as an ideas journal and document things that I have created using the lollipop box club kits or perhaps you can suggest what else I can journal in it.   I would love to hear your suggestions.

Are you a rebel crafter and like breaking rules?

Or do you follow the rules in crafting ?  I would love to know.

Lots of crafty hugs,

Sheryll
