Hello Lollipop friends,
I hope you’re all doing well?

I’m on the blog today to share with you what I have created using
the February ‘Rustic Garden’ kit.

.

.

Are you ready for spring? I know I am!

This kit is perfect to get started on your spring crafting.
This month’s kit is all about journaling/junk journals. I will admit I don’t do much journaling. I
decided that I was going to challenge myself and create something out of my comfort zone.

.
Here I have created a journal insert, or you could use it as a mini journal.
What I did was fold a piece of A5 cardstock in half and went from there. On the front I added a
pocket and I put the adorable seed packet inside. I decorated using the kit papers, stickers and
gold buttons. The bee’s are from a previous kit and so are the doilies.

.

.

For the first page I added half of the brown strip paper from the kit, then I used the paper with all
the beautiful pattern strips and cut out the blue ruffle strip to add to the bottom.
I created a library pocket to add on the page (I have a tutorial on how to make library pockets in
a previous blog post).
I put the little journal card included in the kit in the library pocket.

.

.

For the middle pages, on the left hand side I added the book paper pocket from the kit and
decorated it. On the right hand side I layered different kit papers and added a little cluster on the
top. The right hand side is also a pocket from the opening of the treat bag.

On this page I layered some more of the strips from the strip paper. I decided to create another
library pocket but a miniature version. I also added stitching detail throughout the journal insert. I
decorated the library pocket using the Mrs Brimbles sticker sheet.

.

.

For the last page I created a side pocket. I wanted my journal insert to have lots of pockets to
store photos, journaling, souvenirs etc. I decorated the pocket with the stamped tag from the kit
and then added a cluster of stickers and die cuts.
I really hope you like what I created for this month’s kit. I hope it inspires you to craft out of your
comfort zone and try new things.
Until next time,
Beccy
